Imports and exports of construction and earthmoving equipment both recorded increases in Q2 compares with the first quarter of the year.

Q1 2024

Imports increased in Q1 above levels of Q4 2023. Exports of equipment declined in Q1 to lower levels than the previous four quarters. However, they were still at higher quarterly levels in Q1 than in the previous ten years from 2013 to 2022.

Q3 2023

UK trade in construction and earthmoving equipment showed a modest reduction in Q3 but still remained at high levels. Exports remained the strongest, while not matching the record levels seen in the previous three quarters since trade has been monitored from 2013, they remain higher than earlier years. Imports dipped below 2022 levels in the third quarter, but were still high compared with earlier years.
