COBA Plastics Group is pleased to share that earlier this year the company acquired Extrudaseal Ltd, a Birmingham-based manufacturer specialising in thermoplastic extrusion for bespoke seals and gaskets. Extrudaseal is also a member of the CEA, adding further strength to the Group’s links across the sector.
Extrudaseal produces sealing profiles in PVC, PVC Nitrile, TPU, and TPV. Over the past few months, the business has been fully integrated into the COBA Plastics Group, adding five additional extrusion lines to our manufacturing capability. Our sales team has also welcomed two key account managers from Extrudaseal, Adam Whitehouse and Paul James.
This acquisition brings COBA Plastics Group to more than 700 employees, with production now running across 75 extrusion lines and 50 injection moulding machines.
Extrudaseal is a strong fit for COBA for three clear reasons: they are UK-based, they operate outside the automotive sector, and they manufacture a range of foamed profiles that open the door to future product development.
Bringing Extrudaseal into the Group supports our long-term plan to broaden our markets beyond automotive while strengthening collaboration across product development, tooling design, IFS integration, marketing, finance, purchasing, and logistics.
COBA has produced window gaskets and accessories for more than a decade in South Africa, and this acquisition strengthens our ability to share technologies and product concepts across regions, benefiting both our customers and our wider markets.
This marks an important step in COBA’s growth, reinforcing our commitment to UK manufacturing and long-term investment.
