Gate 7, a global specialist in decal manufacturing and high-performance print solutions, has officially opened its new 15,000 sq ft manufacturing facility in Pune, India, marking a significant milestone in the company’s 25th year.

The new facility will play an integral part in the company’s ambitious growth plans, which include extending its global reach in the construction equipment industry, scaling up operations for the Indian market and pursuing export opportunities in Southeast Asia. Gate 7 also has a longstanding partnership with JCB and from its UK headquarters in Gateshead and U.S. facility in Pennsylvania, it has supplied decals to JCB’s global operations for more than 15 years. The Pune facility will enable Gate 7 to provide a more rapid service to JCB’s Indian operations.

The company has invested heavily in both personnel and cutting-edge technology. The Pune facility has a team of 40 professionals including production staff, quality assurance experts and administrative personnel, and plans to recruit an additional 30 personnel over the next 12 months. It is also equipped with modern digital technology from global experts Mimaki, including the first Mimaki JFX-600 flatbed digital printing machine to be used in India.

Established in 2000, Gate 7 initially focused on the off highway market and later expanded into the agriculture, construction, industrial and rental markets. The company provides striking visuals which meet stringent industry standards and customer specifications: these include safety critical, warning and instructional decals; vehicle and body livery; and reflectives and plates. Its high quality and high-performance print solutions are used by international organisations including JCB, Volvo, Hitachi, Komatsu, Kuhn, Caterpillar Inc. and Bobcat.

Harry Wickham, Managing Director at Gate 7, said: “It’s an exciting time for Gate 7 as we look to realise our vision of becoming the global leader in supplying innovative industrial decals and printed components. The Pune facility will play a key part and position us to support the growing Indian market through our production capacity and reduced lead times while laying the foundation for exports in Southeast Asia, which is a key growth region for us.

“We are immensely proud to continue our collaboration with JCB and would like to extend our gratitude to JCB India for their continued support, which has been instrumental in bringing this project to fruition. We are also in discussions with major global construction equipment manufacturers, operating in India, which will enable us to expand our reach within the Indian market.

“We are dedicated to innovation, quality and sustainable growth. Our high-performance print solutions help businesses to enhance safety, market their brands and equipment aesthetics.  We continue to actively explore eco-friendly vinyl options to align with global trends in the coming years, ensuring we contribute responsibly to the industry.”

The company is committed to compliance, quality and the environment. Its materials are tested to relevant ANSI, ASTM and they hold ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.
