Gate 7, a specialist in decal manufacturing and high-performance print solutions, has bolstered its global operations with a new 15,000 sq ft manufacturing plant in Pune, India.
The company has headquarters in Gateshead, UK, and Pennsylvania, US, and the new facility in India will play an integral part in Gate 7’s international growth strategy. To support its global customer base, the company will recruit 30 additional employees.
Established in 2000, Gate 7 initially focused on the off-highway market and later expanded into the agriculture, construction, industrial and rental markets. This has led Gate 7 to provide its high quality and high-performance print solutions to international organisations including JCB, Volvo, Hitachi, Komatsu and Bobcat.
Harry Wickham, Managing Director of Gate 7, said: We are immensely proud to be opening our new manufacturing plant in India. It is a very important milestone in the Gate 7 journey as the facility will provide a gateway for us to connect with our customers across the globe and continue to grow alongside them. A lot of the organisations we work with have an international presence with multiple locations, and although cultures may change, the brand remains. We therefore strive to develop products and solutions that enhance safety, market their brand and improve equipment aesthetics.
Our new plant will enable us to offer an even better service to our existing customers in India, as well as providing a platform for growth in this expanding market. Production is due to start in October and we are in the process of employing a talented team to help drive innovation, which will be headed up by our Plant Manager, Ajay Kumar.
Gate 7 develops print components for safety-critical, warning, and instructional decals, vehicle and body livery, including styling lines and branding, VIN/PIN plates, control, instrument, and switch panel fascia, and dead-front panels and dial fascia.
The company is committed to compliance, quality and the environment. Its materials are tested to relevant ANSI, ASTM and they hold ISO 9001 and ISO 14001.
