Flannery Plant Hire is proud to be raising money for BBC Children in Need with the help of its specially branded Spotty diggers!
Flannery Plant Hire joined the BBC DIY SOS team this year with specially branded machines and made them available for hire – with all rental charges being donated to the BBC Children in Need charity.
The Flannery Spotty machines have been working in Hull alongside the DIY SOS team and other volunteers to transform an empty 2½ acre field into a purpose-built ‘adventure camping site’ for the St Michael’s Youth Project. This outdoor sanctuary will allow children and youngsters from inner-city areas to get close to nature and enjoy breaks away from their urban homes.
Working with children and young people in Hull and the surrounding areas for over 30 years, St Michael’s delivers a variety of activities aimed at improving the physical and emotional health and wellbeing of children and young people, while supporting them to raise their aspirations for the future and encouraging them to reach their full potential.
Patrick Flannery, Flannery Plant Hire Managing Director, says: “We at Flannery are immensely pleased to support the DIY SOS: The Big Build team for the third year with a range of our machines for the duration of the charity build in Hull. A separate big thank you to JCB, our plant supplier, for supporting this initiative, and to our operators, who are working so hard alongside other volunteers to make the camping site live!”
The Spotty diggers are now available to hire with 100% of the rental charge being donated to the Children in Need charity.
We all look forward to the show airing in November during BBC Children in Need Appeal week.
