More New Members Join the CEA Fold! Red Dot Europe, Towergate Insurance, Firefly, Wardle Storeys, Wheelwash and Hydrotechnik.

The CEA would like to welcome six new CEA members!  Here’s a bit about what each company offer to the construction equipment sector.

Red Dot (pictured above) is a leading manufacturer of heaters and air conditioners for commercial vehicles, the company can design and build custom units against the specific needs and requirements of its customers.  Red Dot supplies HVAC systems for compact equipment, dozers, graders, backhoes, skid steer loaders, telehandlers, excavators, off-highway trucks, and other construction machinery used worldwide, plus agriculture and military.

The company also supply vehicle owners with off-the-shelf ready-to-install HVAC (Heating Ventilation and Air Conditioning) units and kits that can bring the value of climate control to nearly any existing cab environment.

Towergate Insurance: is a specialist in construction, plant and contractors Insurance – the company has clients ranging from small building enterprises to major civil engineering organisations and told Construction WorX that they currently manage over 12,000 individual construction risks.

As one of the UK’s largest insurance intermediaries and with strong insurer relationships, Towergate has the buying power to help negotiate bespoke insurance deals for its clients.

Ross Hayden, Towergate Insurance development executive said, “For many years we have been members of the Construction Plant Hire Association (CPA) giving their members access to tailored insurance solutions to suit their specific business needs. Through our association with the CPA we met Rob Oliver (CEO, CEA) whilst exhibiting at the CPA Plant Conference last November at Wyboston Lakes.”

Following that initial meeting, Towergate agreed to become a member of the CEA and an exhibitor at the recent Plantworx exhibition which turned out to be a huge success for both parties.

Wheelwash has the largest range of automatically operated, high performance wheel cleaning equipment available in the UK. Since 1990, the company has been preventing site vehicles tracking out dirt and debris onto public roads in a range of diverse industries including Construction, Quarrying, Mining, Recycling and Waste Management, Power Generation and Ports, world-wide.

The company recently took part in Exponor 2015 which is the largest mining exhibition in Chile.  With the support of CEA and UK Trade and Investment, Wheelwash enjoyed a successful show. Product manager for Wheelwash Chile, Jose Ignacio Avila was accompanied by managing director of Wheelwash, Ian Jolly and export coordinator Christina Duarte throughout the show in order to present its environmentally friendly wheel-cleaning solutions to customers. In addition, Wheelwash had the opportunity to discuss its solutions directly with the Chilean Mining Minister Aurora Williams who applauded Wheelwash on providing solutions to combat issues such as contamination in the local communities often caused by mining activities.

Wheelwash managing director, Ian Jolly said, “After working with the CEA on overseas projects it seemed the natural progression to look at the benefits it could offer in our home markets.  We look forward to seeing what this will bring in the forthcoming year.”
