Engcon is continuing to expand in Europe, and as part of this they are now establishing their first office in the Netherlands. This is a strategically important milestone and is taking place during the first quarter of 2016.

Engcon, the world’s leading manufacturer of tiltrotators, is increasing its presence in the Dutch market by starting up its own sales company. The company, engcon NL, will initially employ a sales manager, a salesperson and another person focusing on servicing and aftersales.

Blomgren explains that during the peak year of 2007, around 4,500 excavators were sold in the Netherlands,  compared to around 2,200 excavators sold in Sweden in the same year. As a consequence of the financial crisis in 2008, slightly fewer excavators are sold today, although Engcon believes that this will change.

“We are convinced that the Dutch market is slowly but surely approaching the levels we saw around 2007. Quite simply we see considerable potential in the Netherlands, but this is also an important investment for increasing Engcon’s overall presence on the European market.
