Plant tracking specialist AMI Group is celebrating after being ‘Highly Commended’ in the fiercely contested ‘Supplier of the Year’ category at Hire Association Europe’s (HAE) Hire Awards of Excellence 2017 hosted at Grosvenor House Hotel in London.
AMI Group, which supplies plant tracking and recovery systems to many of the UK’s leading plant hire companies, was one of only three suppliers nominated for the prestigious accolade. The Supplier of the Year award was open to all companies that supply equipment or services to the Plant, Tool and Event Hire sectors.

The HAE’s Hire Awards of Excellence have become the most glittering in the hire industry calendar. Prior to the event, the awards are independently judged by industry experts and are designed to genuinely recognise excellence throughout the hire industry.
AMI Group is spearheading the drive against plant theft, allowing plant hirers to make a small investment in additional security which can be quickly recovered through insurance discounts, reduced claims and less downtime. This ensures lower rates of theft and, ultimately, a lower cost to the hire industry. In 2016 AMI Group was named ‘Best for After-Theft Recovery Technology and Recognised Leaders in Plant Security Systems – UK’ as part of the 2016 Technology Innovator Awards held in conjunction with CV magazine.
