Marketing Specialist, Zoe Lamb, joined safety systems manufacturer GKD Technologies four and a half years ago as an office administration assistant. Two-years ago she took over the role of Marketing for the company. In 2017, Zoe completed the CIM Level 4 Certificate in Professional Marketing to broaden her skills.
In 2017, Nigel Baseley joined the GKD team as Marketing Director, to support Zoe with the promotion of the company, which had seen significant growth in a short space of time. Nigel encouraged Zoe to further her marketing knowledge by undertaking an additional qualification.
GKD is delighted to announce that this weekend (Saturday 18th November) – Zoe graduated with flying colours – receiving a CIM Level 6 Diploma in Professional Marketing (Driving Innovation) (HL).
Commenting on the achieving the Diploma, Zoe said, “It took me a year of intense studying to complete this qualification, which I did via Oxford College of Marketing on a blended learning course, which included remote learning and evening classroom sessions.”
Zoe added, “I was encouraged to complete the qualification by Nigel, who thought it would help me to grow my knowledge in my marketing role. The main objective for me was to improve my strategic marketing planning and to learn the techniques required to monitor, analyse, action and measure our activities. This new qualification will help me drive the marketing strategy forward within GKD, and grow the company further.”
GKD, Marketing Director Nigel Baseley was equally delighted with the news of Zoe’s achievement, he said, “We are very proud for all that Zoe has achieved. Learning is a continual process and progresses fastest when it is put into practice – Zoe will have plenty of opportunities to utilize all the new skills she has gained within the company. We are all very much looking forward to working alongside Zoe to grow GKD and raise the company’s profile in our sector. Exciting times are ahead.”
