Engcon, the Swedish based manufacturer of tiltrotators is returning to the United Kingdom with a new, dedicated sales organization to launch its recently developed second-generation machines. The move, which coincides with the company’s 25th anniversary, is timed to capitalise on the growing awareness of tiltrotators as a major tool for increasing the safety, utilisation and profitability of excavators within the British market.

Engcon’s focus will be on the operator market – both large and small – where the company believes the benefits of the system will be most strongly felt.

Engcon’s newly-appointed CEO, Robert Hunt, commented:  “Tiltrotators are one of the best-kept secrets of the UK excavator market. In Scandinavia, where the concept was invented, over 80% of excavators are fitted with them and no serious operator would contemplate buying a new one without having these attachments. By enabling the bucket or other attachment to continuously rotate and tilt they transform the effectiveness of the machine, reducing downtime, unnecessary base machine movements and increasing efficiency and profitability.

At Plantworx Engcon will show and demonstrate its safest quick-coupler system Q-Safe, the automatic oil connection system EC-Oil and the innovative DC2 control.

The new EC214 is the latest addition to the “Generation 2” range of Engcon tiltrotators and joins the existing models – EC206, EC209, EC219 and EC226, together with EC02 and EC30 Engcon covers all hydraulic excavators between 1.5 and 32 tonnes.

DC2 , Engcon’s new proportional control system with troubleshooting and calibration via the mobile phone network, saves time and money by eliminating the need to call out an engineer. DC2 allows you to set up and customize a variety of control functions directly from your smartphone.

There’s still time to register for Plantworx 2015 – 2nd – 4th June Bruntingthorpe Aerodrome, Leicestershire. http://www.plantworx.co.uk/ticket/
