Balkans Mining Road Show
3rd – 6th October 2016
The countries of South East Europe (Serbia, Macedonia, Kosovo, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Bulgaria and Romania) enjoy rich mineral assets including gold, copper, lead/zinc and lithium, with dozens of planned and active investment projects totalling £1.3bn, owned by both local and international companies.
On the other hand, the UK possesses key strengths across the mining supply chain; the UK is the leading global source of mining finance; it possesses a broad range of professional services (finance/legal/advisory/CSR); engineering and consulting organisations; social and environmental consultancies; innovative equipment suppliers; education and training providers. Exactly what the region needs to develop further its mineral assets.
The Balkans Mining Road Show, which includes participation in the 6th International Conference on Mineral Resources in Belgrade, will provide a great opportunity to demonstrate the capability of the UK mining supply chain, and to engage with projects and decision makers in the Balkans region on tangible business opportunities.
