India – Best of the BRICS – Evening Event 20th October.

JOIN THE UK INDIA BUSINESS COUNCIL AT AN EXCLUSIVE EVENING EVENT WITH PHILIP BOUVERAT, DIRECTOR AT JCB, VASUKI SHASTRY, GROUP HEAD PUBLIC AFFAIRS AND SUSTAINABILITY, STANDARD CHARTERED, AND SUBHANU SAXENA, FORMER CEO AT CIPLA.

Following the UK’s historic referendum result, the nation’s relationship with India is set to become even more important. With a growth rate of 7.6 per cent (2015-16) and what is predicted to be the largest economy by 2030, India is among the few bright spots for business.

As the UK prepares for Brexit, it is important that businesses begin to trade with and invest in new markets around the world.

India’s economy continues to go from strength to strength, consequently pulling away from the BRICS group (Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa) which moved together a decade ago. In fact the BRICS growth has slowed from almost nine per cent in 2010, to an average of around four per cent in 2015. India is the notable exception.

The guest speakers will take part in a panel discussion centred around these topics, which will be followed by a Q&A and networking drinks.
