Montracon has taken a leaf from the car industry when designing its new MT45 machinery carrier by engineering a standard specification base line common platform, with a range of optional modules, that at the ultimate level provide a trailer with unrivalled load versatility and its owner with optimum operational flexibility.
The MT45 is plated for operation at up to 45t gross trailer weight; the latest developments include a low profile trailer neck coupled with a reduced incline air operated neck ramp, the two features combining to ease the approach angle for equipment such as access platforms right down to small electric scissors and smaller fork lifts to power up onto the neck ready to be secured for onward transport. So what, one might say – but in the machinery carrier field, the New Montracon MT45 trailer is the only one that offers the facility of ‘self’ loading such access platforms onto the neck! In the past this would have meant two trailers, one suitable for plant machinery and another for access specification equipment. The MT45 is a truly versatile machinery carrier suitable to carry most product variants without the need for doubling investment in trailer purchase.
Other standard features include 300mm heavy duty side raves, 2.5t and 5t capacity side rave lashings, hardwood inspection hatch to facilitate axle maintenance, park brakes to all axles, Haldex brake system, LED rear light clusters and marker lights, LED stalk lamps fitted at rear corners, Jost landing legs, dual plated 39t / 45t gross trailer, 2.5m long x 1.0m wide hydraulically operated rear loading ramps.
In addition to this, the trailers are offered with a shopping list of pre-engineered optional features that enable a customer to choose progressively just the right level of specification to suit their exact needs for versatility and flexibility.
For example, optional modules include: outriggers, outrigger timbers, 5t capacity deck lashing rings to complement the side rave lashings, winch mounting plate and electric winch, numerous headboard options, choice of ramp options, and others.
