The British Embassy in Lima would like to announce that the Organising Committee for the Lima 2019 Pan American and Parapan American Games will be officially launching its Infrastructure Programme on 19 June. Lima 2019 will host an event in Lima to introduce local companies to the infrastructure plans, timelines, procurement process, etc. Although this event will mainly be for local Peruvian companies, Lima 2019 is also encouraging international contractors and companies from across the world to participate.

The event is primarily targeting T1 contractors, but will also be a good opportunity for T2 and T3 companies to attend and make contact with T1 contractors – either to become part of their consortium or become their supplier. Primarily, this would be architectural and engineering companies with a sports background (especially in the field of play) and programme managers. The British Embassy in Lima is also happy to arrange one-to-one meetings with the Lima 2019 Organising Committee infrastructure department and local contractors.

The programme, as it stands, follows:

19 June

Morning session:

·        Presentation of the list of infrastructure projects to be awarded, timelines and bid documents.

·        Presentation from UK specialist involved in project assessment.

Afternoon session:

·        One-to-one meetings with Organising Committee Infrastructure group.

Evening Session:

·        Cocktail reception (tbc).

20 June

Morning session:

·        One to one meetings with Organising Committee infrastructure department

Afternoon session:

·        One to one meetings with local contractors (organised by the DIT team at the British Embassy in Lima)

There will be simultaneous translation between English and Spanish available for both the presentations and one to one meetings.

This event represents an unparalleled level of market engagement and is a unique opportunity to position UK companies to win important infrastructure contracts in Peru for the Games. If you are interested in the infrastructure aspect of Lima 2019, your participation is highly recommended.
