Department for International Trade runs a high profile trade missions and seminars to showcase the best of UK mining equipment to a Mongolian audience.
DIT is organizing its third Trade Mission this year between 16th – 21st September 2018 during which the Trade Envoy to Mongolia Julian Knight MP will be making his second visit to the country. The program includes a full day seminar ‘Innovation is Great’ with B2B meetings to assist UK participants find new customers, distributors, gather market intelligence; opportunity to see the UK-Mongolia Army Polo Match which attracts senior politicians and powerful businessmen. Plus the program also includes visits to the largest metallurgical plant in the country, Darkhan Metallurgical Plant and biggest Bayangol Iron Ore Deposit.

First day – A full day seminar providing UK companies’ speaking slots (approx. 20 minutes each with simultaneous translation) to an audience of around 100 end users, distributors, large mining companies, rental companies, government agencies and funding bodies followed by a networking lunch and reception and with pre-arranged one to one meetings. It is a unique opportunity to present your products, services and training to the Mongolian market and to find potential partners.
Visit Darkhan Metallurgical Plant (DMP) is located in Darkhan, Mongolia, and produces steel products from reprocessing metal and steel scraps. The plant was established in 1994, employs 500 staff and has a production capacity of 100,000 tons per year.
Other visits – Bold Tumur Eruu Gol (BTEG) the company was established in 2007 and exports iron ore after mining it at Bayangol deposit. Their work has to do with iron ore extraction, processing, transport and export. Bold Tumur Eruu’s Eruu Gol iron ore mine has large reserves, and one billion USD has been invested in the mine. Eruu Gol has the capacity to produce 10 million tons of iron ore, and a 100 km special railroad was constructed at the mine.
