The CEA exhibited for the second time at the National Fluid Power Centre (NFPC) Industry Open Day on Wednesday 19th February. The event took place at the NFPC training centre in Worksop. The Open Day is an annual event that focuses on the fluid power industry, which includes hydraulics, pneumatics and applied electronics and control (known as Integrated Systems Engineering).

These areas are key to the construction equipment industry, and the CEA was joined by eight member companies who also exhibited at the show, including the NFPC themselves. This involved MP Filtri UK, Husco International, Linde Hydraulics, Parker Hannifin, Kawasaki Precision Machinery, Holmbury and Webtec Products. In total, more than 70 national and international companies exhibited at the show. It provided a great opportunity to network within the industry, and over 400 visitors took this opportunity on the day and visited the show at Worksop. Feedback on the event has been very positive, including a series of technical lectures which took place alongside the exhibition. This year they were presented by Moog, Hydac Technology, Lubrizol and Simm Engineering Group.

The CEA is continuing to work very closely with the NFPC as part of the new Skills, Education and Training initiative launched at the end of 2019. This includes encouraging more CEA member companies to use NFPC training services to educate and train their employees in the area of integrated systems engineering.
