0

ALS’ construction and plant team arranged the transportation of a large Komatsu D475A dozer base unit and loose parts in the UK. The unit had been shipped over from Komatsu Japan and ALS arranged onward delivery to a customer in Scotland, on behalf of Komatsu.

The 108 T machine used in surface and open pit mining, quarries and construction globally is believed to be the second largest bulldozer in the Komatsu line after the D575A – the world’s largest production bulldozer. It measures 11.56 metres long, 5.26 metres wide and is 4.56 metres high.

The unit was transported to site using an 8×4 / 150T tractor unit and a Noteboom  2 beam 5 trailer set up.
