Sanctions against Russia

A number of trade bodies are seeking speakers to events covering the sanctions regime on Russia.  At present, there is no capacity for outreach by the DIT/Export control on these issues although DIT expects some information on webinar events to be arranged later this month.
  • In the meantime, businesses should continue to check the guidance pages here to ensure business activities are compliant with the current sanctions against Russia.
  • They should check if their product is on the export ban list which can be found in the Russian Sanctions: Guidance document
  • They should check if the product is covered by UK import controls which can be found here
  • They can stay up to date with the latest government notifications on export controls by signing up to the Export Control Joint Unit (ECJU) e-alert service.
The new measures include a list of critical-industry goods and critical-industry technology which are now prohibited for export, supply or transfer to, or for use in, Russia, along with the provision of related technical assistance.
