Peter Stockton, Operations Director of construction plant tracking specialists AMI Group, has been officially appointed as a Board Member of Hire Association Europe (HAE), the industry-leading trade association for the plant and tool hire sector. Peter has been appointed to the HAE Supply Chain Board which is chaired by Gareth Matthews, UK Sales Director at Marcrist International Limited, and also comprises representatives from the likes of JCB, Morris Site Machinery and Hilti (GB) Ltd.
Peter, 30, has been employed by AMI Group for over 10 years and heads up the Operations and Engineering Divisions, whilst helping to develop new solutions and assist in first line installations and support requirements throughout the UK. As an experienced after-theft finder and RF (Radio Frequency) finder trainer, Peter co-ordinates AMI Group’s in-house finder team to assist in the recovery of stolen assets. To date, this has involved recoveries throughout Europe, as well as special operations to recover stolen equipment in areas such as the Ukraine.
Despite Peter’s relatively young age, he has a wealth of experience to call upon in the hire industry and deals direct with many of the UK’s national plant hirers, construction companies, equipment manufacturers and SME’s alike to lead the fight against plant theft. Thanks to Peter’s sterling work alongside his colleagues, over £245 million worth of customer assets is protected with AMI tracking devices and 100% of stolen equipment protected with a covertly installed AMI tracking device has been recovered compared to the industry average of 10%.
