Cummins has announced the appointment of two new senior executives in its off-highway engine business. UK-based David Atkinson has taken on the role of Global Off-highway Support , and Phil Dawson, also UK-based, has replaced Annie Schmelzer as Cummins’ Global Agriculture Segment Leader.

David, a veteran in the off-highway space, now has ultimate responsibility for the delivery of best-in-class customer support to Cummins’ agriculture and construction clients. A significant part of his new role will be working closely with regional teams to deliver tailored sales and post-sales support for Cummins’ many international clients at a local level.

Phil is a seasoned leader having held numerous roles in Cummins’ off-highway European sales team. In addition to leading Cummins’ agriculture business strategy, he will oversee the business’ global agriculture account teams, which count Buhler, Kubota and CLAAS as customers.

Eric Neal, Executive Director, Global Off-Highway Business at Cummins, said: “Over the past several years, Cummins’ off-highway business has experienced strong growth, with David and Phil both being crucial to our success. The off-highway sector, specifically agriculture and construction, continues to operate with complex customer needs and these two appointments are a key part of our strategy to meet this demand for solutions.”
