Public contracts are at the core of any government’s ability to deliver services and infrastructure to their citizens. However, the public sector is at high risk from corruption given value of contracts involved. In addition, greater levels of transparency can help to create a level playing field for businesses to compete. This webinar will present on:
• current levels of transparency in public procurement across West Africa
• identification of key stakeholders and their capabilities and enthusiasm for advancing the transparent open contracting agenda.
• recommendations as to how stakeholders can work together to apply greater transparency to parts or all of public contracting cycle
• a Q&A session for all participants to put questions directly to representatives of the consultancy.
