With Euromax Resources looking to develop the Ilovitza gold project, Solway Group’s Bucim copper/gold mine, Genesis Resources Plavica gold project at feasibility and the recent $400m purchase of the Sasa zinc project by Central Asian Metals Ltd there is a deal of mining action in Macedonia. When you factor in all the activity in neighbouring countries across the Tethyan Belt, the Western Balkans are a veritable mining and exploration hotspot.
Last year some of you joined DIT for meetings with the mining companies that attended the Minex Europe Forum in Serbia. The success of the event means that we will be holding a mining visit to Minex Europe 2018 which will be held in Skopje, Macedonia from the 12-14 June.
Although you don’t have to register for the Forum, DIT are working with the organisers to offer an opportunity to combine attending the Minex Forum http://minexforum.com/en/events/majneks-evropa-2018-2/where DIT will host a UK booth during the event and join meetings with regional mining companies who are attending and speaking at the event.
Besides the conference there will be a networking reception at the UK Ambassador’s Residence, as well as the opportunity to purchase a ticket for the Minex conference, dinner and site visit at a preferential rate.
