Construction start-ups invited to enter global technology competition
Start-ups developing new technology for the construction sector are being invited to enter the 2026 Construction Startup Competition, a global programme connecting early-stage businesses with major industry names, investors and innovation teams.
Now in its tenth year, the competition is aimed at companies working on practical solutions that could help improve how construction is planned, delivered, powered, monitored and maintained.
The 2026 categories cover preconstruction technology, jobsite productivity and building systems, climate technology for the built environment, smart manufacturing and logistics, and smart buildings and infrastructure.
For CEA members, the themes reflect many of the areas already shaping the construction equipment sector, from connected machines, site productivity and fleet management to alternative power, data-led decision making, safety systems and smarter infrastructure.
The competition is supported by a group of global construction and technology organisations including Cemex Ventures, Caterpillar, Dysruptek by Haskell, Ferrovial, Hilti, VINCI Group’s Leonard, NOVA by Saint-Gobain, BCA, Trimble and Zacua Ventures.
