The CEA (Construction Equipment Association) has officially joined Make UK’s Affiliate Partner Programme—securing quarterly access to Make UK’s senior team through the Affiliate Partner Board and strengthening our ability to work alongside other trade associations on the issues that matter most.
The Affiliate Partner Programme brings together membership bodies from across UK industry to share insight, coordinate activity, and work collectively on topics such as trade, tax, skills, regulation and industrial strategy. For CEA members, this means stronger representation at a national level and more timely access—via the CEA—to the information and analysis that matters. The CEA now has a seat at the Affiliate Partner Board, which meets quarterly and provides direct access to Make UK’s policy and government affairs experts, as well as the chance to raise key issues alongside respected organisations from across the manufacturing and engineering sectors.
This ensures that the construction equipment sector is included in wider conversations where national decisions are influenced, and where the CEA can speak up with the backing of a broader network. Members can look forward to regular policy updates, briefings and shared insight from Make UK as this relationship develops.
Commenting on the announcement, Viki Bell, CEO of the CEA, said:
“Attending the Affiliate Partner Board reinforced the value of coming together with other trade bodies to tackle the big issues we all face. This partnership is about making sure the construction equipment sector has a seat at the table when national decisions are being made. By working alongside Make UK and other affiliate partners, we’re strengthening our ability to represent our members’ interests in a more coordinated, joined-up way. It’s a practical step that makes our voice louder and more connected.”
The CEA will continue to update members on the partnership in future newsletters and briefings. If you have a policy concern you’d like to raise, or would like to have your say on our next policy submission, please get in touch.
