Membership terms & conditions

Eligibility

Membership is available to companies who have a UK registered business address and fall into one of the following categories:

  • OEMs
  • Distributors
  • Components & accessories manufacturers & suppliers
  • Attachments manufacturers & suppliers
  • Service providers
  • Other companies that provide services to the UK construction equipment sector.

Membership eligibility will be confirmed during the application process. The CEA reserve the right to refuse membership.

Fees & payment

Membership fees operate on a sliding scale based on UK turnover in respect of sales of construction equipment, cranes and related equipment, including components, accessories and services. 

When a membership application has been successful, an invoice will be issued to the finance contact provided on the application form. 

Payment terms are 30 days from the issue date of the invoice. If any sum payable remains unpaid for a period of three months after it has become due, membership will be suspended.

Membership runs from 1 January to 31 December. Members joining mid-year will be invoiced pro-rata for the remainder of the subscription year. 

Renewals

Membership runs from 1 January to 31 December. Your membership will automatically renew on 1 January, unless prior written notice has been received.

Resignation

Members must provide at least six months' written notice of resignation via the resignation form. The notice period will commence upon submission of the form. 

Membership is not transferable.

Termination

Membership will terminate if any of the following are true:

  • A member company ceases to exist.
  • Any sum payable remains unpaid for a period of three months after it has become due.
  • The CEA (Board or Director of Operations) decides a member company no longer meets the membership eligibility criteria. 
  • A member does not abide by the CEA's Byelaws, Memorandum and Articles of Association. 

Membership may be terminated by any means specified within the Byelaws.
