Con Mech Engineers expands its line-up with UK-made wear parts and new undercarriage and breaker brands
As Hillhead 2026 approaches, Con Mech Engineers is using the show to underline a broader offer for quarrying and construction fleets, combining its UK-manufactured Blademaster wear parts with new distribution lines.
The company will be on stand X16, where it plans to present the latest additions to its portfolio through partnerships with BS Track Undercarriage and Dozco Rock Breakers.
The move comes as plant owners and contractors continue to scrutinise supply chains for critical wear-and-undercarriage components. In a market shaped by price volatility, longer lead times and tighter procurement requirements, UK manufacturing and locally sourced materials are increasingly viewed as a route to improved availability, clearer traceability and more predictable replenishment.
Blademaster cutting edges and ground-engaging tools are manufactured in the UK from British steel. The Blademaster range includes cutting edges, blades and ground-engaging tools for applications where wear life and uptime are critical.
Con Mech Engineers says its production controls are designed to support consistent through-hardness and a uniform microstructure, attributes associated with predictable performance and extended service intervals in abrasive conditions.
According to Andrew Liddle, Technical Sales Manager at Con Mech Engineers, achieving consistent hardness through the full thickness of the plate remains one of the defining challenges in heat treatment. Surface hardness can be high, he notes, but properties may vary towards the centre if the material and process are not carefully matched.
In practice, through-hardness depends on steel chemistry and the microstructure formed during quenching, reinforcing the importance of controlled composition and repeatable processing.
The company’s catalogue covers more than 15,000 part numbers across standard and heavy-duty thicknesses, spanning wear solutions for demanding ground conditions. Con Mech Engineers reports that the range is specified by OEMs and used by contractors and quarry operators seeking durability in high-impact and high-abrasion environments.
The new agreements extend Con Mech Engineers’ coverage into undercarriage and breaker attachments.
BS Track says the partnership is intended to increase the availability of UK-steel undercarriage components for the domestic market.
Bernard Nestler, General Manager at BS Track, commented: “The UK market should have access to undercarriage components made from UK steel. This partnership will enable customers to source high-quality track groups that deliver strong performance, backed by Con Mech Engineers’ reputation for supplying premium wear parts manufactured in the UK.”
Dozco, meanwhile, expects the arrangement to broaden access to its rock breaker offering in the UK via Con Mech Engineers’ sales and support network.
NG Bangur, Director at Dozco, added: “Partnering with Con Mech Engineers will strengthen Dozco’s presence in the UK and improve customer access to our rock breaker range, developed with a focus on satisfaction and cutting-edge technology. With international-standard products at a competitive price, combined with Con Mech Engineers’ customer service and extensive network, we believe this collaboration will raise expectations in the rock breaker segment.”
Con Mech Engineers will be exhibiting on stand X16 at Hillhead 2026, where visitors can view the Blademaster range alongside the newly added undercarriage and breaker lines, and discuss specifications and applications with the team.
