The CEA invites interested parties to register their interest in being considered for the tender process to operate the CESAR Scheme in the future.
In May, the CEA (Construction Equipment Association) announced that the CESAR Scheme would go out to tender as part of a review of its future operations and long-term delivery arrangements.
The next stage of that process is now underway, with the CEA inviting all interested parties to complete an Expression of Interest form if they wish to receive further information or be considered for the tender process.
The Expression of Interest form must be completed by 31 July 2026.
CESAR is owned by the CEA and is the official security marking and registration scheme for the construction and agricultural machinery sectors. The scheme has played an important role in deterring equipment theft, supporting police identification and assisting with the recovery of stolen machinery.
The Expression of Interest stage has been introduced to ensure the opportunity is open, fair and consistent. Any company that wishes to be considered is asked to complete the form so that all interested parties are handled through the same process.
Viki Bell, CEO of the CEA, said: “In May, we confirmed that CESAR would be going out to tender as part of a review of the scheme’s future operation. We are now moving to the next stage of that process and inviting any and all interested parties to formally register their interest.
“This is about making sure the process is clear, fair and open. Any company that would like to receive further information or be considered as part of the tender process should complete the Expression of Interest form by 31 July 2026.
“This is an important step in the process, giving suppliers the opportunity to put themselves forward for consideration and ensuring we take a broad and inclusive approach as we look ahead.”
