Lots of thank yous to say after a very busy and productive month
Last month was a quieter month for travel for me, allowing me to focus on the CECE congress, Bauma, and PlantWorx – all key events for the CEA.
In this month’s blog, I wanted to take the time to say a lot of "thank yous", because everyone has been so been busy working to support all the events that we have coming up as well as generally doing a fantastic job for the CEA.
Firstly, a huge thank you to the team for all their hard work on the CECE Congress, and I am pleased to say we are now live, and tickets are selling well. The sponsorship packages have also now almost all been sold, so if any members are still considering sponsoring or advertising in the programme, please do get in touch with me asap. I also want to say a big thank you to those who have already taken sponsorship packages – this is very much appreciated.
Gill has been very busy with both Bauma Munich Pavilion bookings and enquiries around Bauma Saudi. We have now reserved the Munich space and Gill is speaking with all of you who expressed an interest in Saudi very soon regarding the likely costs. If you would like to join us on either Pavilion please do get in touch with Gill ASAP.
I must also say a big thank you to Lou, who has had a bumper month in May with lots of exciting CEA and CESAR news to talk about – the coverage achieved has been excellent. This is also definitely helping to drive the membership enquiries, and it is great to see so much positive coverage for the Association.
Some highlights to bring to your attention include:
- CECE Congress 2026 going live
- the appointment of Paul Baker to run the CESAR retender project for us over the coming 12 to 18 months
- David Waine of ConMech coming on board as a volunteer CEA Trade Advocate
May was rounded off with an excellent day in sunny London on the 21st for the CPA Conference titled ‘Unlocking The Nation's Growth Plans’. It was a very thought-provoking day with some excellent speakers and panellists. It was great to see so many CEA members in attendance, too, and the close working relationship between the CEA and CPA was even mentioned in the President’s address after lunch.
June has kicked off with a busy start, as I’m currently at Komatek in Turkey attending the trade show and a CECE Board meeting, before heading to Hillhead later in the month. I am sure I will see many of you at one or both events, so please let me know if you would like to meet for a coffee and a catch-up.
And one final thank you to you – for reading!
