AMPS Awards for Excellence 2025 celebrate the power behind the industry

Salford, 19th November 2025 – The AMPS (Association of Manufacturers and Suppliers of Power Systems) Awards for Excellence lit up The Lowry Hotel in Salford last night, bringing together the power industry’s brightest names to celebrate innovation, sustainability, and outstanding achievement.
The evening recognised the sector’s continued commitment to progress, investment, and the future of power. Hosted by stand-up comedian Alfie Moore, the event was a lively celebration of success, collaboration, and ingenuity across the industry.
Volvo Penta took the role of headline sponsor, with support from Generator Power, Genny Hire, KGP, Crestchic, Edina and Woodlands Power, whose contributions helped make the evening possible.
Reflecting on the success of the event, Alan Beech, Director General of AMPS, said:

Apprenticeship Programme of the Year
Clarke Energy took home the Apprenticeship Programme of the Year award for its comprehensive four-year apprenticeship scheme, which features defined learning pathways, measurable outcomes, and a strong commitment to diversity and inclusion. Judges described it as an outstanding programme demonstrating excellence across all criteria, with clear structure and a genuine focus on long-term skills development.

Aggreko also earned a place on the shortlist for its multi-level apprenticeship framework and personal success stories, such as the case study on Jessica, which showcased the company’s commitment to professional development and ongoing support for apprentices throughout their journey.

Crestchic Loadbanks claimed the Business Growth and Strategy Award, recognised for a clear growth trajectory supported by innovative use of data, product diversification, and international expansion. Judges highlighted Crestchic’s confident leadership and strong strategy that continues to deliver measurable success globally.

The company’s integration of renewables and fleet decarbonisation reflects a comprehensive, forward-looking sustainability plan that impressed the judges.

Agriemach Ltd secured the Environmental Product of the Year Award for its SCR/NOx retrofit system delivering verified emissions reductions and exceeding compliance standards. Judges described it as a technically advanced solution with strong independent validation, developed through a thorough and innovative process.

Judges praised the company’s forward-thinking approach to lifecycle extension and efficiency improvement. Datatag completed the shortlist for its RAPID (Registered Assets Police Information Database) system — a secure platform that enables police to identify registered machinery and confirm ownership in real time. The system supports theft prevention and asset recovery across the UK and is widely adopted throughout the industry.

P&I Group received a Highly Commended award for its complex airside installation at Luton Airport, completed safely and efficiently in a live environment with outstanding stakeholder coordination. Clarke Energy also received a Highly Commended for its hydrogen-ready peaking plant project at Deeside, focusing on reuse and refurbishment — a transformational scheme demonstrating high technical capability and environmental ambition.
