Significant changes to the apprenticeship assessment system in England are being proposed, and employers across our sector must understand what’s coming and have the chance to influence the outcome.
Enginuity and The 5% Club are hosting a dedicated webinar on Tuesday, 13 January 2026, bringing together policy insight and employer voices to explain what the proposed reforms could mean in practice and how businesses can respond.

Webinar details
Speakers include Ann Watson (CEO, Enginuity), Rowan Crozier (CEO and co-owner of Brandauer and chair of The 5% Club), Fiona Aldridge (CEO) and Carmel Grant (Deputy Director, Reform & Development), alongside wider policy and education specialists, including representatives from Skills England.
The session will provide a clear overview of the assessment changes currently being developed following the 2025 consultation, alongside expert contributions and the opportunity for employers to raise concerns, share real-world experience and help shape assessment policy that works for industry.
Viki Bell, CEO of the Construction Equipment Association, said:
“Apprenticeships are critical to the future of our sector, but assessment systems must be practical, proportionate and rooted in how employers actually operate. This webinar is an important opportunity for CEA members to understand the proposals and make sure industry experience is reflected before changes are finalised.”
