London calling for CECE Congress 2026
CECE Congress 2026 is gathering momentum, with the CEA preparing to welcome delegates from across the UK and Europe to London this October.
Taking place from 27–29 October 2026 at The IET, Savoy Place, the Congress will bring together more than 150 senior figures, manufacturers, industry leaders, policy specialists and colleagues from across the construction equipment sector.
Hosted under the theme Create • Innovate • Inspire, this year’s Congress will provide an important opportunity for the industry to come together, share views and discuss the issues shaping the sector across Europe.
The programme is already taking shape, with confirmed speakers bringing insight from engineering, skills, economics, creativity, resilience and European policy.
Ann Watson, Chief Executive Officer of Enginuity Group, will bring valuable insight into the skills challenges facing engineering employers and the practical steps needed to support the future workforce.
Jason Bevan, former Head of Creative Development and VP European Marketing at Warner Bros. Pictures, will offer a different perspective on creativity and innovation, drawing on his experience of developing ideas for one of the world’s best-known film studios.
Stewart Hill, a former Army officer who suffered a traumatic brain injury while serving in Afghanistan, will bring a powerful personal story to the programme, sharing his experience of resilience, recovery and turning disaster into discovery.
Phil Layton, CECE President and Technical Service Director at JCB, will represent the construction equipment manufacturing sector, while Professor Joe Nellis, Emeritus Professor of Global Economy at Cranfield School of Management, will provide economic insight shaped by more than four decades in teaching, research and academic leadership.
Riccardo Viaggi, CECE Secretary General, will also speak at the Congress, bringing a European policy perspective from Brussels and reflecting on the issues affecting the construction and mining equipment sectors at EU level.
Viki Bell, CEO of the CEA, said: “The CEA is delighted to be hosting CECE Congress 2026 in London. It is a valuable opportunity to bring people together from across the UK and Europe, at a time when our sector is facing important discussions around skills, investment, innovation and competitiveness.
“The programme is coming together well and we are looking forward to welcoming delegates to London. Anyone planning to attend is encouraged to book their place and be part of it.”
Alongside the Congress sessions, the programme includes refreshments and lunch throughout, a welcome drinks reception and dinner, and a gala dinner with a river cruise on the Thames.
A range of hotels has been secured for delegates, allowing attendees to book accommodation directly and choose an option to suit their budget. Partner tickets are also available for both evening events.
With the speaker programme building and delegates already making plans to attend, CECE Congress 2026 is set to be a key meeting point for Europe’s construction equipment sector.
