CEA response to the Government's Hydrogen Update

This morning the Government published a report titled “Hydrogen Update to the Market”, which provides details on government activity in 2025 and sets out an agenda outlining the next steps and emerging opportunities. These reports are generally published twice a year. 

Viki Bell, Chief Executive of the Construction Equipment Association, welcomes today’s Hydrogen Update for the Market report from the Government.

 “It is excellent to see the explicit mention of off-road machinery within the report.  This includes both hydrogen fuel cells and combustion engines for construction and agricultural machines. We welcome the promise of an ‘Off-road Machinery Decarbonisation Strategy’ and will continue to advocate for the construction equipment sector and the needs of our members within that document.

The CEA was actively involved in the Call for Evidence mentioned within the report, and we are pleased to see our advocacy on behalf of our members has paid off."
